Richard Bond

Richard is Managing Director of Dragonfly Film and Television, the makers of Ambulance (BBC 1), Surgeons: At The Edge Of Life (BBC2), Then Barbara Met Alan (BBC 2) and many others.  He started his TV career as a secretary, before directing his first network documentary aged 26. After a decade as a freelance P/D, he joined Raw TV, where he was promoted to Executive Producer and Head of UK Factual.  He was appointed Creative Director of Dragonfly in 2016 and promoted to MD in 2019.  After 25 years in television, he’s been fortunate enough to win numerous awards, including an RTS, a Grierson, a Real Screen Award, a Broadcast Award and the Prix Italia: Best Drama, and has been nominated for both factual and fiction BAFTA’s.
