Max Gogarty
Max is a commissioning editor across documentaries and factual entertainment at the BBC. His commissions include Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams, Louis Theroux Interviews, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out, Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World and Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency. He also oversees shows like The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing and Glow Up.
Previously Max was Executive Editor of BBC Three working as deputy to the Channel Controller where he helped launch the digital strategy for the channel and oversaw an in house team of 80+ across 2 bases, spanning social media, short form, editorial and analytics. Prior to the BBC Max worked at a number of Indies including Vice where he was head of development and co-directed the BIFA and Grierson nominated feature doc Chemsex, which premiered at the London Film Festival.
